I’ve been running PMS on my server for a few years now, without issue.
This evening I updated PMSService, as I wanted to setup automatic updating and wanted to get the main service tool up to date first.
This seemed to work fine, but when I then logged in, I had an error about the server being unclaimed. I saw I was logged out so logged back in. At that point I was seeing two entries for the same server name. The new one that I then seemingly logged into had no Libraries - it looked to be a starting config. Another server with the same name was also listed but was shown as unavailable. I did a full reboot on the server as in the past I’ve found this often resolves random issues. No change, so I then also updated the server version. At that point the original server was no longer listed at all, and I now just have the empty one.
So now I’m at a bit of a loss. At no point did I delete the server so I’m hopeful (ish) that the database is still recoverable, but right now I’m not sure how, and I slightly dread having to rebuild the libraries from scratch.
I haven’t posted logs as there’s no error as such to point to right now - I’m just not finding the original server. I can do so if that’s useful of course.
If anyone has any ideas on how to get it back I’d be very grateful. I’m secretly hoping I’ve just done something obvious and easy to revert, but I’m started to get concerned that I haven’t…
