PMS1.23.2.4656 caused server to disappear in plex?

  1. NAS Model: DS916+
  2. DSM Version installed: 6.2.4
  3. PMS version: 1.23.2.4656
  4. Just updated to 1.23 PMS and I noticed my server is completely missing from plex now. Tried rebooting the server, stopping and running the plex service, and reinstalling 1.23 to no avail. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Consider rebooting the NAS.
Otherwise… have you already looked for the server logs – given the server doesn’t seem to be running you’ll need to manually collect them.

I did restart the entire NAS and PMS does appear to be running. Check out the screenshot. Not sure why the newest is showing an older version.

This was helpful, thanks @trumpy81. In the process of doing this, at #1 actually, I realized the server became unclaimed. Reclaiming fixed it. Not sure how it became unclaimed though.

This can e.g. happen if you change your password and select the option to sign-out all devices (which includes the server itself).

Interesting, I definitely didn’t do that lol.

The only thing I can think of that was abnormal compared to any other update is when I initially was applying the update I accidentally refreshed the page and it could’ve been during the update application period (e.g. some computers say do not…) So when I returned to the page I wasn’t sure if it was still running it or if it was killed (or a corrupt update) so I just ran it again. Perhaps the incomplete update caused this?
