Server dissapeared!

Plex server has been working for years fine. Today i have come on and it isn’t running. If i open the icon in the system tray it is there. i have tried restarting the server and reloading it. it says the server is running in the tray. If i open it it is just the plex player. no server settings. none of my media, only other peoples. i have tried to download a fresh copy but when i click on downloads on your website it just says something went wrong!? im a life time plex pass user. i don’t see what the issue is or how i can fix it.

I’m just on the way back to work - but same issue with me. Server was working last night, I try running it from work today, I get an unexpected error, and the server can’t be found. I had a reason to go home anyway - I shut the server (software) down, and restarted it - same problem. I rebooted the computer it is hosted on - same problem.

Mines started working again now. No input from me!

I am also experiencing the same issue. My Plex Media Server was working fine this morning. There was an update (I’m running Plex as a Docker container on unRAID) Now I get that “unexpected error, and the server can’t be found.” I’m hoping I have similar luck as @mustardpete where the problem just fixes itself without any change on my part! Alas, I suspect I will not have so much luck.

It works fine from the app on my AppleTV, my Android TV box, and the Android app on my tablet. I only get the error when trying to log into the server from a web browser. I tried multiple browsers and flushed cache & cookies. No improvement.

Same here! I restarted the application and same issue happening here. Running on a windows 7 system. Remoting in from a windows 10 computer. UPNP and NAT all good and set.

The Plex Web app on the same computer with server, cannot find server. I’ve been running Plex for years. First time that server can’t be found.

The server app is running in the tray. Tried restarting, no luck, restarting router, no luck. Updating server, no luck.

Gang mine’s working again! I think it’s fixed!

Mine is up again too. I’m assuming it was a plex.tv issue then? Just to give more information, mine would not work via the PC app, nor via web, nor by Android app, and my server is a Windows 10 x64 machine running on an i7 6700K. Anyhow, all good now.
