Server Folders Not Refreshing

Hi there. Bug fan of Plex for a long time. Game-changer with Synology NAS and Sony TVs/Google TV.

I was adding content to my Synology Server, and created a new folder with audio files.
However, I could not find a way to get PlexAmp to refresh the folder list, and the new folder did not appear until after I rebooted.

Please confirm this is a bug, or provide a way to force a folder sync/refresh. Thanks!!!

What list exactly didn’t refresh, and what exactly did you reboot?

Hi there! Thanks for getting back to me.

The list is Library > Folders view

I add a new subfolder to a folder already visible in PlexAmp
I reboot the client device (Pixel Tablet) - still not visible
I reboot the server (Synology NAS) - then PlexAmp reports ‘Unable to load data this makes me sad’
I reboot the device again and it is still broken now. ‘unable to load…’

LMK if I can provide any other information.

When you add a folder, you need to scan the music library on the server. You can do this with Plex Web or Plex Dash. No rebooting needed.

ok thanks. BTW it was really hokey on both phone and tablet - same issue.

I’d suggest that you consider a force refresh option, at least in the Settings.

Thanks again for the response! Plex lifetime and never regretted it.
