Server has been working fine with remote play and direct streaming for awhile. But it seems like after the recent update any device outside of my network can’t directly stream without going through the relay. I’m port forwarding 51965 and have the required ports unblocked on the firewall.

Doing a little preliminary checks,

Your forum access was last from a x.x.9.170 IP.
Your server logs show it’s using a x.x.9.171 IP

Is this correct ?

Yes I believe.

I took some time to clean up your Plex.tv account (those old unused servers of years ago)

Plex getting an update isn’t the usual cause of losing remote access.
The usual cause (which happens to me too) are those silent ISP modem updates in the middle of the night.

First order of business here is to confirm:

  1. From your computer, you really are getting “canyouseeme.org” connection on that port.

  2. software update on the Debian machine didn’t enable the firewall / disable the allowed passage of 51965.

  3. Now take your mobile phone and switch to LTE mode and try to open the server directly by its http://your.wan.ip.addr:51965/web

If you can open it directly by IP then we know the Plex sidekiq server which tests for Remote Access isn’t getting in which we can fix.

I’m not seeing any success with accessing directly.
