During the past two weeks the server started crashing. I’m running on windows 10 and have been running without crashes for years. For the past two weeks the server has been crashing multiple times a day. I have tried installing older versions (1.19.xxx. and 1.20.xxx) but it didn’t help. I tried narrowing it down whether it had something to do with the type of client users were using but it doesn’t seem to matter. It usually only crashes during remote connections. I am at a loss at what else to try…

Bump…

Thank you for your support!

By crashing I mean that the system tray icon of PSM on my Win10 Server disappears. PSM crashes/closes and I have to open it up again manually. This happens every time someone remotely tries to play a file. Remote access to the server works fine as long as the user only browses. As soon as they try to play a movie/show, PSM closes and I need to open it manually.

I checked all ethernet cables and they are fine. Checked for updates and rebooted the router as well. Nothing has changed here and is working fine. I am confused as to why the available bandwidth all of a sudden is so low. I never had any problems before.

I just updated the PMS version to the current one and tried remote access via my phone over cellular. Playing an episode of a show (SD quality) worked and as soon as I started playing a movie with higher quality (HD - 1080p) PMS crashed and I had to reopen it manually. I attached the crash report of the situation just now.
