Second issue, any remote video whether is from an ipad or my laptop results in PMS crashing nearly instantly. only saving grace is having the service applet auto recover plex after a few seconds.
One error that has popped up at least on my laptop is the s1002 network error. This is even after I crank down the remote bandwidth option to 4mbs. Which should be more than enough for the remote connection I’m on. I can play youtube stuff at 8 or 10mbs so I know the connection can handle it.
I’ve also tested play from plex over just regular wifi and doing a VPN connection back in to my home network to eliminate any foul play on end network routing shenanigans.
The content I’m trying to play ranges from a mcebuddy converted mp4 TV episode to a natural TS file plex recorded with commercial tagging.
The thing I’m really having a hard time understanding is albeit 6 months ago or so when I had plex running as a VM on my ESXi setup, I rarely had any issues no matter what I was trying to watch. No hardware options though, which is what I was trying to take advantage of by moving everything over to a Dell 7060 running Win10 (vs 2012 R2 server on the VM).
Looking to ye wise folks of this forum to see what these logs may contain for hinting as to what in the world is causing all these issues. Almost makes me want to ditch the optiplex and move things back over to the VM. Plus with the issues I mentioned in the other ticket about firestick issues, my wife keeps asking why do we even use this…
