Server keeps losing connection multiple times a day

Server Version#: 1.41.9.9912
Player Version#:
<If providing server logs please do NOT turn on verbose logging, only debug logging should be enabled>

I’ve been using Plex for a few years now, and just over the last month, the server loses connection, randomly multiple times a day/hour. For the life of me, I cannot figure it out.

Don’t use Verbose logging.
Don’t copy/paste logs.
ZIP them up, then drag the zip file into the message editor of this here forum.

Plex Media Server Log.txt (101.2 KB)

Here is the log. I really appreciate any help you can provide.

verbose logging is turned off now.

The point is to turn it off,
stop and restart the server
try to reproduce the crash
then fetch logs,
ZIP them
and upload them

Yeah sorry i ment i did turn it off. Autocorrect messed it up.

There is nothing to see in the log you have uploaded.
Additionally, you seem to have edited it, so crucial information is absent.
Local IP addresses are non-critical information.

  1. stop and restart the server
  2. try to reproduce the crash
  3. then fetch logs,
  4. ZIP them
  5. and upload them

If you are not manually fetching the log, you need to include the previous log file in your upload as well, because if you stop and restart the server, it will begin a new log.

Nothing to see as to why is keeps disconnecting?

com.plexapp.system.zip (8.4 KB)
Let’s try this. Thanks in advance.

This is not the right log file.
Immediately after provoking the issue and restarting the server, Plex Media Server.log.1 would be the most important one.

Ok, third time is the charm???
NewZip.zip (1.1 MB)

I don’t see any crash in the logs. But I noticed that all logs contained activity of library scans.
Are you scanning your libraries periodically? Maybe quite often?
Disable periodic and automatic library scans.
Only trigger a library scan manually, after adding new media files.

I’ve also noticed that you are pointing your Plex libraries at “naked” drive letters. This is not recommended. Always use a folder as library root.

Thank alot, ill change everything. Hopefully this fixes it.
