Server not finding tv series files

Server Version#: 1.21.1.3842-b0c7a97d9
Player Version#: 4.47.3

I apologise first but I am not very good with programming and the consol version of Plex. I do know my way around Plex but that is all.
My issue is that I cannot understand why Plex cannot find the series Black books, Chernobyl or another one today that I tried to add: A short series from David Attenborough using my series library that I have attached to a special file where I save these files. But, when I move them to the file where I save my movie files and that is attached to my movie library, the scanner finds them!
I have other series in my series library including short and long series and it works fine. So I don’t get it. I tried everything I could find around to troubleshoot it and for a long time left my Black books and Chernobyl series on my movie library but today while trying to add that D.A series seing that it did not find these new files again I got a bit OCD and tried to add the others two series in the “right place” and thought I’ll see what the community can come up with. The type of files are .MKV and .AVI so it is not only one type of extension the problem.
My library system is built in 4 categories: animated, documentary, movie, series (written in French) and attached to 4 files with the same name (in French) where I save my files accordingly, on an external hard drive plugged to my laptop.
Otherwise everything works fine.
Thanks

If your videos are seen by Plex if you add them as a movie, that implies your naming is off – and as a result the files ignored by Plex.
Make sure you follow the naming schema (incl. the underlying folder structure) for the best results when adding tv shows to your Plex library.

Basic Schema:

TV Shows <- the folder linked to your tv-show library
  Show Name
    Season XX
      Show Name - sXXeYY - optional information.ext

Where XX is the season number, YY is the episode number and .ext refers to your file extension.

Thanks Tom. Just tried it and it works. I just had the name of each episode and no numerical classification. I’ll know what to make sure of from now on!
