Hi, I’m trying to figure out why, on a PC with a Ryzen 7 3800x with 32GB of ram, a Radeon 5700XT, PLEX cannot play a movie displaying the error “server not powerfull enough” even though the Plex Player can play it (on the PC) but the web interface for the server can’t and I can’t play it either on my TV’s and Chromecast devices…
What more do you need in terms of power to be able to play files??? This is getting really ridiculous.
That message may be displayed when Plex needs to transcode the video, but transcoding is disabled.
In Settings → Transcoder, is the box checked next to Disable video stream transcoding? If so, uncheck it and Save Changes.
What is the video format? Please provide the XML Info for the file. Save the info as a text file, then drag it into the message window. The forum does not support .xml attachments.
