My server has been offline for two weeks now. No access to new movies. Help.
If it’s your own server… have you tried restarting the Plex Media Server app or the host OS? If it’s a friend’s server… have you considered contacting them?

First off, I am very little tech savvy. Second. It states that the friend, whose library I was added to when I donated, that his its offline. I have tried to restart. Removed plex app all together and reinstalled. Didn’t work
I sadly bet you are danish?
If so, some guy, that sold illegal access to his server has been reported offline by a lot of Danes.
Note that buying access to other peoples servers is not allowed , and against the TOS of Plex
Yes, I’m danish yes. I donated via proper channels though, don’t know the person whose server I was sharing. I was assigned this server, that is not offline 
. Do you by any chance know what to do/who to contact?
There are no “proper channels” for doing so.
Calling it a “donation” doesn’t change the fact that money was paid. And that constitues “commercial use” of Plex and is
a) forbidden by the Terms & Conditions of Plex
b) illegal by the letter of copyright law in the EU and most other countries
You are in a comparable position now, as the guy who buys stolen goods.
You don’t get any consumer protection and the original owner may be well within his rights to reclaim his property – without paying you any compensation.

I am merely a user of this app on my phone, where I can watch movies. I am not getting into the legalities of the whole thing, I expect no “rights as a consumer” - I was merely asking if it would be possible to get online. Like I stated further up, I am not very tech savvy. I might have some wrong settings, and I came here to the support forum, to well get support. If it is not possible to get online anymore, we’ll so be it. I paid for service, not nearly savvy enough to know if I was doing something wrong, donating to someone wrong. If so, I am truly sorry. Anyways, came for support and I guess what I can gather that along the way I did something and it’s my bad and plex is now offline. Sux, but such is life. Thank you for your support, or something like it…
P. S. Just to reiterate, I am not expecting any compensation or am expressing dissatisfaction. Just wanted to get back online

OK, jeg ved slet ikke hvor jeg skal vende mig og forstår ikke hvor det er gået galt. Da min periode udløb, fik jeg tilsendt link fra Plex om at forny abonnementet, jeg klikkede link og betalte. Jeg har handlet i god tro hele vejen. Jeg er godt med på at denne service og adgang til filmene ikke er helt lovlig og forventer da heller ikke nogen kompensation eller nogen rettigheder som den ovenstående bruger ser svarede på min tråd talte om. Jeg ved ærligt talt ikke hvad jeg har gjort forkert. Jeg har “abonneret” på Plex i 2-3 år nu. Har været glad for det. Og har sådan set bare fornyet som jeg plejer. Jeg plejer at sende mails hvis jeg havde problemer som ovenstående, men alle mails bliver nu returneret udleveret. På dette punkt er jeg jo nok lidt blåøjet, mest fordi jeg ikke har erfaring med disse medier og bare det at formå at skrive min problem med server i et forum var en udfordring. Anyways, jeg må vel bare indse acceptere at jeg ikke har adgang til Plex mere til trods for at jeg intet galt har gjort. Super ærgerligt.
Plex didn’t send you any emails about subscriptions / donations. You didn’t pay Plex any money. You appear to have paid someone (not associated with Plex) for access to their media and they have either been caught selling access to pirated content and shut down, or decided the risk was too great and shut themselves down.
Ultimately, this forum and Plex as a company can provide no support. Chalk it up to experience and move on.
