Server Version#: PlexMediaServer-1.19.4.2935-79e214ead
I’ve been running plex server on my Ubuntu 18.04 LTS for a long time without any problems. But now I notice that all my local media has disappeared from the player sidebar and I can’t even see server settings on the web application anymore. It only shows the online media content.
This same behavior happens with all client applications (web client, iphone app, android tv client). When I try to add personal media, it suggest that I download the plex server, which I already have running of course
I have checked that all my media is still available on the server hard drive and I haven’t changed any file permissions.
Same thing here. Running KDE Neon (Ubuntu 18.04 LTS base). Even tried reinstalling my library and now it can no longer see my files. It sees my drives, but will no longer open them to add to media library.
Your server is running, but the log says that it is losing connectivity with the internet.
They players will show only online content until your server becomes available to internet again.
Although your clients are in the same network as your server, Plex server still rely on internet to authenticate the client. Maybe the internet in your house is working fine, but maybe only your server is having problems and your players still can play online content. There’s a work around to disable local authentication in settings> networks.
