Server settings are unavailable

I am running a 1.16.6 plex on a qnap TS 251. worked fine for a long time, until I updated to 1.18.4 version. now, “server settings are unavailable”.
I tried many things, deleted new version and reinstalled old version, but still the same problem. tried new port settings on router etc. I am not a computer expert and had booked lifetime plex.
what is the solution? can t find any help in google, forums etc…
