Server settings are unavailable

Server Version#: Plex-Media-Server-1.13.5.5291-6fa5e50a8
Player Version#: no idea

I updated to latest version of Plex Server and then " Server settings are unavailable." Tried reverting back to older versions after deleting program. No luck. I cannot add or edit any data/ setting as I cannot access server. HELP!!!

I had to revert all the back to Plex-Media-Server-1.12.3.4973-215c28d86 to get the server to connect again.

Similar issue here. I’m running the current latest PMS Version 1.16.6.1592 on Windows 10 Pro (as administrator) and the server settings goes unavailable at random. I’ve tried stopping the Plex service then restarting it but that doesn’t work most of the time. The only sure way to get the server settings back is to REBOOT the PC and all works OK again…for a short while then the server settings goes unavailable again. I can tell when it stops working because any new media files that I have added will not get added to the various libraries whenever I perform a manual library scan. It’s like the new files don’t exist!. Only once I get the server settings back via a system reboot will the newly added files get scanned into the libraries along with their metadata. As long as the server settings are unavailable it’s a lost cause trying to add any new movies or TV shows to Plex. Really frustrating and so far there’s no useful fix from Plex Support team. I may roll back several full versions to 1.14.x or earlier in an attempt to stop this problem. Honestly, I don’t really see much difference between all of the very frequent version updates and have disabled auto update since my experience has been that newer versions break more things than they fix.
