So plex was working fine, but then I updated it and something broke. Now, the server has been very touchy and I can’t figure out how to fix it. The server itself will just disappear, leaving me with a “Server unavailable” message. I’ll restart half a dozen times and nothing works, then an hour later it will show up.
One time I saw the message “An unclaimed server has been found on your network” but when I clicked on “Claim it now” it took me to the server settings which were… unavailable.
I’ve also noticed that some movie posters went missing and I am unable to search for new metadata.
Any help would be appreciated.
Things I have tried:
Signing in and out (Dozens of times)
Repairing plex via the updater
Deleting certain entries from the Registry, following the support article’s instructions. (These registries have never reappeared following restarts and install repairs, by the way.)
I do live in a furnished rental with a comcast router. I cannot access the router settings because I do not own the account, however plex has worked fine for the past 2 months I’ve lived here, so that shouldn’t be the issue?
