I am not that plex savy.
My server displays ‘nearby’ under the name
Libraries are all displayed in red
Server displays green ‘secure’ symbol.
Downloaded and install latest plex server.
Server settings unavailable.
On the same machine where the server is running,
open an ‘incognito’ web browser window
open http://127.0.0.1:32400/web
Same result as when using the icon.
If I click on my server, its red, try to add a library they are all red.
A message unclaimed server has been found n your network, claim it option.
I just claimed it, but no change
Is this a machine where Plex server was already installed before?

I will try your suggestions.
It has run on this pc for years, problem started with the latest windows update.
As I also have the server running on another pc, could I just copy the directories to the problem pc ?

PC A has the problem
PC B works fine.
Would copying the plex directories from B to A resolve the problem.

I always assumed each PC was self contained with its own server.
I installed plex on a pc, a few years later I bought a second PC and installed Plex.
No, Plex is a server-client architecture.
You can have one machine working as the server, which has all the media files.
Then you can use just a Plex client on other machines, which are all accessing your one server machine over the network.
Do you have perhaps 2 sets of plex account credentials?
I use rarflix on roku, it it shows 2 media servers if both PCs are on.
I have media files on both PCs, duplicates so I can use one if the other fails, like now.
Would it be easier to just uninstall PLEX from the problem PC and the reinstall ? I understand that roku no longer has rarflix, so would the existing link work or would I have to relink to roku, can I still link ?
The roku is linked to your account, not to your server.
If the Roku is working, there is no need to think about it.
I saw on your account, that one of your machines has a relatively old server software version. It might have something to do with the issue.
I have been afraid to upgrade the server in that the rarflix might not work.

If you can still access both of your servers from your Roku, then this fear is unsubstatiated.

It is easy enough to add the new libraries.
Uninstalling doesn’t remove your libraries, if done properly.
All you need to do is:
- Stop/quit/end Plex Server with the tray icon
- deinstall Plex Server with the regular ‘Apps’ control panel of Windows (do not use 3rd party ‘Uninstaller’ software like Revo etc.)
- for safety, reboot Windows
- download the installation exe of the newer version and install it

I updated the server on the good pc, seems ok.
I followed your instructions above.
Now the screen shows a yellow ! next to each library, the main part of the screen shows all the icons of recently added shows.
If I click on the server name msg unclaimed and not secure
If I click on claim it now - server settings unavailable.
