"Servername is offline or unreachable" only on some plex apps

Hello guys,

Looking for some help. Recently I’ve been unable to connect my main plex apps to the media server.
My server is running on a PC. I am unable to access the server the via plex app on a number of devices (samsung 65KS8000/PS4/FIRETV). Strangely I can gain access with no problems on my apple devices (iphone 7 and ipad pro).
I’ve changed manual server settings with no luck (previously this used to solve most of my issues).

Tearing my hair out here. Any help would be great. Hoping to get my media back on the big screen.

Test:
Disable ‘Secure Connections’ under
Settings - Server - Network
Reboot your server afterwards
Wait a few minutes
Then close and re-open your clients as well.
Did that change anything?

After you did the measures mentioned in my link above, you can try to re-enable Secure Connections.
Whether this will work is depending largely on your particular router model.

I have the same problem - I set up a server on my iMac and it was working well. As the children kept switching it off I decided to set up a new server on my MacBook Pro and get rid of the other one. Now my Hisense tv app can’t find the server and I get the offline or unreachable message. I can use the app on my iPad or Xbox just fine though! I have tried the above steps and they don’t work. What else can I try?

Same issue. Disabling Secure connection didn’t work amongst other solutions provided in other threads. It works everywhere else except for my Hisense TV

Same with my Hisense TV. Have you found a solution?

Same for me on Hisense 43M3000, it’s been more than a year now.

I’ve tried in different networks, with different interfaces, with or without secure connection. It’s definitely a problem in the Hisense Plex App itself than the server.

I don’t think this will be resolve any time soon, since this TV is not officialy supported by Plex. The app is there only because Hisense is part of the Smart TV Alliance.
