Set up Plex on Linux - access to SMB on NAS

Hi there - I have run Plex for the last few years on my Synology NAS, but I wanted to try using on my desktop machine (running Pop!_OS) instead.

I have managed to install Plex Media Server, and I wanted to access the SMB share on my NAS, but this does not seem to be an option.

I have tried to do some background reading on the forum, but I think I have confused myself. Do I need to try and somehow mount my NAS drives via fstab? Or is it permissions on the NAS? Both?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Now look at NFS (you are using Linux). SMB is for Windows
