How do you set the timezone in 1.7.1.137 (Intel_EGL.x86_64)??!
No entry in the menu exists anywhere that I can find.
I searched and found references to TZSLECT and TZCONFIG, but those aren’t working.
Anyone know?

I’m relatively sure this is automatic. I went looking for a setting on my initial install as the clock seemed to be eight hours ahead of my local timezone. After not finding anything I ignored it but noticed some hours later that the clock had the correct time. I guess it took a while to find the time server.
That’s not really how that works - it’s certainly not automatic…
Setting a time zone is not possible to do automatically unless you geolocate your IP, and even then that is a bad way to do it.
I need the command to issue at the command line to do this.
Also WHY is this not in the GUI!? Seriously guys?!
You need to set all three in:
Preferences > Appearance > International > Region
Preferences > Appearance > International > Timezone Country
Preferences > Appearance > International > Timezone

So in my case I have the Region setting (US) but there is no entry for Timezone nor Timezone Country.
@Valdhor:
I assume you are using OpenPHT installed under some desktop OS, such as Windows, Linux or OSX.
For such cases the program doesn’t need timezone settings, as it should use settings of the running system.
But for cases where OpenPHT is running ‘embedded’ in its own OpenELEC/LibreELEC OS, there are no system settings to fall back on, so for these cases those additional entries are added into that ‘Preferences’ submenu.

Of course that makes sense. I have it under Windows 10.
What I found weird was that on initial startup and for quite a few hours the clock was wrong - eight hours ahead of what the time actually was. At some point it fixed itself and I didn’t notice until later. That’s why I looked for a timezone setting somewhere.
