How do I get the server to retain the conversions that it does for the mobile sync feature? My kids watch the same movies over and over, but I don’t have enough room on their iPads to keep all the movies locally. So often I’ll remove synced movies to make room for new ones, and then in a few months need to re-sync the old ones again when requested. I hate having to wait for the server to re-convert all those movies, when it could just keep them and download in seconds. The work’s already been done before, but it seems that Plex isn’t keeping the conversions.
Is it possible to make it keep them? The Optimize feature is close to what I want, but Mobile Sync doesn’t appear to use the optimized versions of the movies. Anyone know how to do this? I have plenty of storage for keeping multiple versions of movies… not worried about that.
