Share content between Libraries

Hello,
is there any way to share content from Library A to Library B (used by different people) without having to copy/move content from one folder to another?

Hoping that makes sense… Thanks

You can use Single Item Sharing.

Hi,
that’s not what I was thinking about…

I don’t want to share with a different user, but on the same user account, sharing between different Libraries so that the content is visible in Library A and Library B.

I mean you can add whatever source folders to individual libraries that you want. The libraries can point to the same folder(s) or whatever combination.

But I just want to share single items, as you told me earlier.

Sharing via restriction labels is also a thing but that is Plex Pass only. If you are going to use those then there is no need to have separate libraries. ( if you only have them separate for sharing reasons)

You cannot add a movie from one library to another from within Plex but you could create some hard links in your file system to make the movie files appear in both libraries. That being said… do you have a particular use case why that movie should show up in multiple libraries?

Beyond that… BigWheel’s proposal w/ a complex folder structure is perfectly up to the job.
You can e.g. use 3 folders… one dedicated to each of your 2 libraries and one that contains all the media to appear in both libraries. Then assign each library their dedicated folder and add the “shared” one to both.

Thanks both
