Share link for items in local library

Say I want to share a song in my server stored music library (not Tidal) with a friend that has access to my music library. I want to be able to click share on a song, send them a link - say via iMessage, have them be able to tap on the link, and said song starts playing in PlexAmp.

Currently, as far as I can tell - this only works when the song is recognized within Tidal.

Seems to be working fine for me – at least on the mobile Plexamp clients.

  2. Open that link – this will bring up a browser window with the shared item (album, song, artist…) incl. a Open in Plexamp button

On a desktop browser, it seems to only show the shared content on a static web page.
I don’t see a restriction to Tidal content.

When I do this, the only options I get are “Share Image”, and “Write to NFC tag…”

There is no option to share on multiple tracks/albums. That is why I assumed this has to do with it only being albums that Tidal has? It’s strange.

Also, the song doesn’t start playing if I share the link. It just highlights it. Would be nice for it to automatically play the song, say like the NFC options.

This feature already exists, and is not limited to Tidal.

The only limitation is that it requires the item you’re sharing to be matched. If the item is unmatched, we don’t have a GUID that can be used to generate a shared link.
