My friend shares a library with me and I cannot connect to it through chrome on my phone or through the plex app on my phone. He used my login and the server showed up just fine and he could watch his library. What is wrong with my phone. Android S8 with most recent updates
Have your friend check that he’s enabled remote access properly. It might work for him if he is testing on his local network. Without remote access enabled, it won’t work for you at your home. If you go to his house, it should work there, but that’s probably inconvenient.
