I am encountering some weird issues with my Plex Server and Usermanagent.
My Brother and I have 2 seperated Plex Accounts. One of them (Mine) has Plex unlimited PASS with the Plex Server bound to it. My Brother just got the Media shared to his non Plex account.
The strange thing now is that my Brother can’t stream in original Quality but with my account we can do it. We tried different videos and different devices for this. In every test my brother’s account doesn’t have the option for original quality only convert to bla but my account had the option…
I hope you can help me out there because this is kinda frustrating -.-

Check default settings for each client. The default may not be maximum/original quality. For Plex Web, set Web Client -> Quality -> Video Quality = maximum.
Using Plex Web, what does Status -> Now Playing show when your brother is streaming a video - direct play / transcode / etc?
If remote:
What is your uplink bandwidth?
What Is the bitrate of the video (Use Get Info to see bitrate)?
In PMS, check Settings -> Remote Access -> Internet Upload Speed and Limit remote stream bitrate.
He is local and i am Remote but it makes no difference if local or remote.
The Plex Web status says it is transcoding with the account of my bro and mine does say direct play since i can choose the original quality as a setting
we already set the setting to maximum and the limits are on unlimited. We dont have an issues with the bandwidth since it is 1 Gbit LAN direct to the NAS local and 300 UP/DOWN Inet speed.
The bitrate of one video is: * Bitrate 15541 kbps
But this is also something we changed since we didn’t only try one video we tried many.
