Why can’t I share my ‘Live TV & DVR’ option with friends?
I think it’s a legal issue, you are not licensed to re-broadcast.
Yes it is a legal issue as well as there are more issues with like sports where you are suppose to be viewed in region and items like that. So you are able to use apps and access Live TV through plex because you are paying for the service and it is assumed you are in the region… By sharing with Friends this would violate as you can not rebroadcast which means sharing with friends you are essential rebroadcasting since they are not living at that address and covered under the TV Service you pay for.
You can add them as family, you can have up to 10 family and then you have the option to share Live TV with Home users. But they also get other access which you want to trust whomever you share with and is meant for users in the same house.
