Hello!
I’m having trouble sharing my library outside of my network.
I originally setup Plex on one of my Synology NAS and was able to add a guest with no problem.
I then added a 2nd Synology NAS and copied everything form my 1st NAS to the 2nd NAS. I tried to once again share my library on the 2nd NAS but my guest can’t access the server. It says the server is unavailable.
My network setting in PLEX is set to “Disable” currently. I changed that setting to “Preferred” and when I did that…I got completely locked out of the server and couldn’t even log back in to change it back to “Disable.”
At this point, I have no idea how to correct this issue…Can someone please help?
I didn’t realize this would be such an in depth issue…Like I said, when I installed Plex on my first Synology NAS…it was install, build library and share with no issues.
I’m wondering why this install is such a problem child at this point?

Does my Network settings in Plex “Need” to be set to “Preferred?”
Your first set of instructions number 4 seemed to do the trick!
All I did was change Preferences.xml to Preferences.xml.old and restart the server.
I’m guessing at this point I can now delete the Preferences.xml.old file?
Thank You Again for guiding me through this! It’s been a frustrating few weeks on this but such a simple and easy fix so thank you for the help!
