Shield error when playing E-AC-3

The latest version of either the qnap server or the Nvidia Shield bring up an error and will not play any file with audio format E-AC-3 !

2 questions

  1. Is there a fix or a setting I am missing ?
  2. Is there any software that can search new files to see the audio format. ( A program call Box4 can easily convert from E-AC-3 to AC-3 once I can find them !
    Tdarr can find and amend but is unstable.

  1. On nVidia Shield, there is an audio setting called ‘Dolby Audio Processing’. It is enabled by default. If you have an Atmos/DD+ capable receiver or TV connected to the Shield, this option should be disabled or unexpected thing could happen when playback DD+ (E-AC-3) audio.

  2. MediaInfo app can show you the information.
