TV: Vizio E50-F2
Soundbar: Vizio M512A-H6
I have a 2017 Nvidia Shield connected to the HDMI eARC port in the soundbar, passed through to the TV into an HDMI ARC port.
Randomly when pausing media on Plex a high-pitched, very loud tone is played. This seems to happen every 5-6 pauses or so, and is only stopped by pressing the play/pause button again.
The problem only occurs with Plex, other apps work fine. The problem also goes away if I change to an optical connection, but I’d really like to keep the HDMI passthrough setup for Atmos.
I can’t seem to find a lot of information about this other than similar stories. I turned on the setting to “play a comfort noise over HDMI”, with no success. Anyone have a solution?
