Same issue on 2017 Shield Pro. App update on the Shield appears to be the cause.
Plex Server is running on a different device and auto play / play next and server has not been updated. Auto play / play next stopped working after Shield updated app.
Issue confirmed on NVidia Shield Pro. In my use case, properly functioning play next is FAR more important than detecting credits. This broke about the time credit detection was implemented.
Same here on Shield TV Pro, haven’t had a release without issue in a long time.
It looks like the new app version for android that released today resolves the auto-play issue. Hopefully they update the shield as well. It’s at least the first time I’ve seen them even acknowledge the issue.
Regular Shield has been working for a day or so.
It looks like the problem was deployed in version 9.19.0.177 of the Android app on 3/21/2023, but then the fix was deployed in versions 9.19.1.487 on 3/26/2023 and 9.19.1.525 on 3/28/2023.
For reference, I use a Shield TV 2019 Pro, although I don’t think the version of Shield TV mattered in regard to this problem, because (I believe) the version of the app is packaged for all Android devices. Well, technically, there’s a package for each of the four supported architectures: armeabi-v7a, arm64-v8a, x86, and x86_64.
