Hi all! I’ve uploaded my logs to see if anyone can help me.
My PMS works great on every device (even if I cast it to my android shield tv box) but as soon as I open the plex app on my shield tv and play something , 1 minute in or so the app basically stops playback and looks like it restarts itself and goes into the main plex menu. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

Same problem! Half the time I can’t even navigate to play any videos before it restarts itself. Just to watch anything, I had to uninstall updates, but now with the old version I’m having issues with 1080p content.
I’m not clear if the server is restarting or the player app. The logs above are from the server and i don’t see anything unusual on logs on first look.
Same for me. It’s been doing this since beginning of February. If I uninstall updates then Plex works fine. I have a second shield tv though that doesn’t have this problem…
I raised this a while ago and just recently someone provided a workaround which seems to work, Might be a good idea while this is being investigated. The only issue is you will need to run PMS on something other than your Shield TV.
The workaround is:
-Go to Settings
-Apps
-Find the PMS app
-Rollback updates by clicking uninstall
-Disable the app
Then try the Plex Media Player and it should work. Happy Streaming everone
My PMS just started rebooting. The Player and the server are running on the new shield tv pro. The PMS just got an update and now it keeps stopping. I can turn it to active and after a couple of minutes and/or clicks, it shuts down again. Any idea’s anyone?
