I’m running the NVIDAI Shield TV versoin of PLex media and consistantly canot record certain shows altough other shows during a different time period on the same channel will record.
I’ve noticed the NVIdia Shield TV device hibernate when the TV is turned off, does this device require to be on all the time or will it wake up to record a show?

When the Shield is in sleep mode, pms is still working. So you don’t need to keep the Shield always on for the dvr. If you can access pms from a computer or an other device the dvr should be ok.
I have been using the dvr feature for sometime on the Shield and didn’t miss a recording for this reason, the Shield even wake up my usb drive properly. I did miss few times a recording, but the reason was that my hard drive was ejected for no reason. This has been an issue on the Shield for quite some time.
Did you look at the logs to find out why the recording did not happened?
Do you see the recording in the schedule?
