Show Exists on TheMovieDB and TheTVDB but Plex keeps forwarding it to different match

Plex Keeps trying to match Untold: Swamp Kings (2023) with Untold (2021). Even entering in the tvdb and tmdb id’s when trying to match, it still only returns Untold (2021).

It looks like things are mixed up because Untold: Swamp Kings is a miniseries but also included as episodes season 3 of the show Untold.

The TVDB has it as a Show: https://thetvdb.com/series/untold-swamp-kings

And also as part of the Untold Series: https://thetvdb.com/series/407414-untold/seasons/official/3 Which is how Plex is listing it

Also, the TMDB seems to list those individual episodes as their own specific show

A search for “Untold: Swamp Kings” which is the title that matches both TVDB and MovieDB.

The show exists on TVDB and MovieDB but it doesn’t get matched no matter whether I search for the ID or the show Title, it keeps forwarding to the Untold (2021) series.

I would try the name without the Colon .

I even tried to search Untold Swamp Kings (2023) with the year left blank, and with the year as 2023, and same results.

I should note that I tried searching for “Swamp Kings” and left out the Untold and didn’t find anything

The show also doesn’t exist in Plex’s Discover. Which is odd if plex uses TheTVDB or TheMovieDB to pull the populate their agent. They might not though. I’m not sure where they pull data from to populate their agent.

Ah looking at IMDb I see what Plex are doing, you’re right. They’re pulling from IMDb for episodes information and TVDB listing your quoted above. Wikipedia also has the show listed as a collection of Netflix docuseries under the untold banner. Plex are doing the same I guess.

The issue seems to be that all of these below got merged into one show.

…IMDB afaict only has the show as a whole.
…TMDB has two seasons as separate shows but not the show as whole
…TVDB has the full show and two of the seasons as separate shows
