Show mismatched on Program Guide

Not sure if this is the correct forum for this. I assumed there would be a DVR/Live TV section…

I was just setting up a series recording for the new Hawaii Five-0 show. The only thing that comes up when searching the Program Guide is the old 1963 show. Even though I know a new episode of the new show comes on Friday.
Upon further investigation, I realized that the new episode is listed under the old show, mixed in with it’s re-run episodes.

I am able to add the recording simply by filtering it to new episodes only, but the show artwork, etc. is wrong.

How do I fix something like that?

The only thing you can do is report it, again. This seems to be a common problem with the guide providers. MacGyver is another one that has this problem.

Gotcha. Thanks, Chris!

Unfortunately, the instructions here no longer work to determine the EPG source. There is no ellipses to click on for me.

You can also do a fix match from the show in your library. You may also need to fix the year in the filenames of Shows.

Yeah, I knew I could fix it after it’s recorded. The issue was being able to initially find it and then differentiate it from the old show in the Guide.

I had previously recorded the show via Windows Media Center. So, I already have previous episodes correctly matched in the library. I’m assuming that, even though I am recording the show under the 1963 show’s “umbrella”, it will still match correctly after being added to my library. We shall see!

(I need to look into the MCEBuddy/Comskip setup you have going. I used MCEBuddy to convert the WMC recordings to mp4, but Comskip always seemed to chop off bits of the show, so I stopped using it. – Any guides you can point me to?)
