Yeah, would be a lovely feature. +1 for me 2!
I’m with you on this! +1 for me.

+1. would love this !
And please make it accessable with Applescript -> like "isstreaming" parameter.
I have a applescript what today is checking the CPU% of the "plex media Server" Process to see if someone is streaming -> a real parameter would be somuch nicer.

People who use this software (in general) are probably the type of people that love data
+1!!
+1 from me as well.
Would love to see what shared users are accessing (and sucking up my bandwidth)
Please, yes, as soon as possible! When my network slows to a crawl, I want to know if it’s a networking problem and I need to restart my router or if it’s just the friend I let mooch off my server.
This would be a great feature, since it makes it easier to take out statistics on what TV-shows or movies people are watching and maybe clean up a bit.
For the moment, I have 6 or 7 friends using my server. On the server, I have about every episode on each of my 66 TV-shows.
+1 for this one.
There are a lot of tools to monitor disk and network usage, most basic of them is resource monitor, if using Windows that is. You could also use tools like PC Monitor or Monitor.us/Monito.us - Gives you a good idea about your usage over time, and realtime. There are endless tools to properly monitor server and bandwidth usage - The only thing really missing from Plex itself is a proper who-used-what-when-report.
I'm not on Windows (the PMS is on a mac mini), but yes, I assume there are other tools I could be using. It just makes sense to me to have something built in to Plex, even for instance have the PMS icon in the taskbar turn green when something is streaming so I can easily be aware of what's happening.
I totally agree with you - The more info integrated in upcoming Plex reports the better - I just wanted to point out some tools to use until then. That icon idea is not a bad one, I would also want to be able to see realtime streaming status from my servers on all my mobile devices.

i just saw that the transcoding sessions are aleady in the api to have a look and also to kill them. But instead of only the token, the shared user or the “device” description would be nice =D
+1, Excellent idea.

Yes please! +1
Would be nice to have a “status bar” or “time remaining” showing how long each session has left. e.g. if 2 streams are currently going and one finishes in 5 minutes, I might wait the 5 minutes rather than risk making it choppy for everyone.
+1 for this
