Got my vote

This would be amazing.

It would be awesome to see what and who is watching my shared content.

I would really like to limit transcoding as well, like disable it totally for some users.

+1 for all of the above features. Especially the ability to set remote client quality on the server side.

10$ that this get's implemented with Multi-User/"Parental Controls" features.

With Multi-User it would be really easy to set limits and see what's happening on a per-user basis

Parental controls would be nice or at least control what libraries are available to which devices.

I'd like the xbox in my livingroom to only see specific libraries, and a specific tablet to see other libraries.

The best feature would be usage per account... say a friend shared his account info with 20 of his closest friends... I'd like to know which to ban or at least force them all to watch the Barney & Dora the Explorer Library.

Of course, the ability to set the transcoding at server-side would really help to manage a connected home...  I don't think that my household is greatly different that many tech enthusiasts.  I have 2 PCs (aside from the server), 3 laptops, 3 7" tablets, 6 assorted android phones in use by family members and an xbox and WD Media Player... tweaking them individually is just unmanageable.

Raising my hand for this one as well - simply a log to show what happened when (this IP, using this client showed up at this time, and accessed this content) would be a great start.

patience is a virtue... +1 on all of the features listed in the OP
