Shuffling music on smart playlist is no longer working properly. Using a filter criteria that generates 600+ results, with 100% certainty, on the first page of the resultant “Shuffle” of this playlist, the same 10 songs will always appear. Not always in the same order. This is a recent problem that occurs across multiple devices.
Probably the same problem, that was reported in at least one other thread. Basically, Plex has created a new definition for the word “shuffle” that plays the most often played tracks first. It doesn’t make sense to a lot of people…
thank leelynds. I’ll check out that thread. that’s absolutely insane. “Shuffle” isn’t the same as “Random”.
That’s just us thinking like Users.
Looks like they weren’t making it truly Random either; they baked some ‘smart shuffle’ thing into the regular shuffle.
