I have reasons I need to be able to use Shuffle and let it run for a number of hours, but it seems like it always stops after a few episodes of a TV show (seems to be about 4 episodes). This is a problem for me. Is there a way to make sure it continues to play?
I have sleep issues and other anxiety issues so I leave old TV shows on shuffle. I’ve been doing this with other programs for years, but I’m very seriously looking at switching to Plex. I have seen comments about this being an issue for other people, too. I can’t make playlists because 1) the order needs to be random, and 2) It takes time to make playlists and I’d need them for about 4 dozen TV shows.
I need ongoing shuffle play, since this helps me sleep at night (I use a bluetooth sleep device for listening). It helps me concentrate during the day (I can’t think in silence) and it helps me with an autistic adult who stays here some afternoons. But when Plex insists on stopping, it means I wake up from the silence or get distracted from my work to restart it or it districts the other person I mentioned when he’s here. I find it hard to believe developers would say, “We’re adding this feature and not giving users the chance to control it.” It’s not like it’s streaming, I’m playing my own files on my own LAN.
