REstarted HTPC windows 10 after remodeling, Plex icon missing from system tray. Tried to launch it from programs and it doesn’t work either. I can see when I try to launch windows the blue circle flashes for an instant and disappears. I did try to go to 127.0.0.1:32400/web and I get an error message saying this site can’t be reached. I have checked with 2 different browsers to no avail, says same on both. I have tried rebooting several times. I have rechecked firewall and it is not the issue either. Please help. Missing my Plex after 2 weeks!
OK. I think it is solved. I went into Windows 10 services to see if Plex Media Server shows it is running which it did but it was not executing. I ended the process and rebooted, Then I tried Plex again and it did launch but when I tried to use it it wouldn’t work. So I closed the service down again but this time I just rebooted Google Chrome. Then relaunched the Plex Media Server and walla!! It worked. The only problem I am still having is the scanner shows complete but there are many movies and music that it is not picking up. I think with more time Plex will get them all scanned in properly. We will see,. Whew!
