Sign in failure on mine and wife's Galaxy S-10s

Message: Sign in failed. User could not be authenticated. This IP appears to be having trouble signing into an account (detected repeated failures)

  • Server software current. Two computers log in fine, as does the Surface Pro used for travel. Two Samsung Galaxy S-10s worked recently, no problems (phones are kept up to date), but now this message. Stopped using the pin for sign in and asked to log in again. I uninstalled the app and tried again on both, no resolution. No IP conflicts with other server functions, or the home network. Not a wireless issue as the laptop and surface work fine. Looking for some ideas and the only example I found here that matched was closed after 90 days with no comments or resolution. By the way…Plex, your customer service sucks. What kind of company that deals in software doesn’t have trouble tickets?

If you fail to sign into your Plex account too many times, your IP will get blocked temporarily. Wait a few minutes and try again. If it still fails, you may have to wait upto an hour for the block to go away.

Please note that the failure may not be from your mobile devices but from something else on your network. Double check other Plex clients you may have. Also check your server.
