So i just set up my first Plex server from my NAS, and wanted to try to access it from my Android Phone. On my desktop, i have no trouble logging in, but when i try to log in from my phone it states this error:
User could not be authenticated.This IP appears to be having trouble signing in to an account (detected repeated failures)
It is using the same local network.
Is there any way to fix this?
Your account has to be authenticated back to Plex.tv. Checking your account, I see that you did fail to sign in correctly multiple times. Our system will block further attempts to sign in to prevent someone from brute forcing their way into an account. Once you see that error, you’ll need to wait at least 1 hour before trying again.
If you can’t remember your password, you can reset it at https://app.plex.tv/auth#?resetPassword.
Edit - Resetting your password does not remove the block on your account. You’ll still need to wait before you can use your new password.
I am having the same issue when trying to sign in through the Android app. I know that I am using the correct email and password, as I verified the login saved on my laptop.
