First, let me tell you that I am using Plex since version 0.1.0, decades ago. I LOVED it for years and years.

I cannot express how much I am deceived… today.
I have purchased the HDHomeRun Connect and returned it, I gave another try to HD HomeRun Extended both with NAS Asustor 604T and Synology DS1813+, fully loaded. Plex is crawling with 99% processors used even with extremely low transcoding. Cannot display anything for more the 10 seconds before starting to buffer - I have tried everything. Unwatchable from Mac WebPlayer, Window browser, Apple IOS and Apple TV latest generations. Tired the HDSiliconApp under Mac - works like a charm, but I certainly do not want to pay for recording and guide. Cutting the cord is cutting the cord and the cost… to me it is absurd to be paying for recording and guide. Plex seem to be the missing link, I taught. So deceiving and so much frustration. I am now using Hauppauge TV tuner on Windows 10 system, that work but clunky. As much I want to believe on this feature, I had noting more the frustration and lost of time. The current installation is PLEX 1.9.6.4429. Sorry guys, I love this PLEX product but this is bad bad bad…

What am I doing wrong here?

Mine also works very well. I have a win10 PMS, and firetv clients, and iPhone client. Only buffering issue I ever had was on one of my TVs that has a WiFi connected fire stick. That issue went away when I adjusted the WiFi router to use 20/40MHz channels.
