Plex stopped working on LG TVs

Hi Guys

I have two LG Tvs. Plex worked perfectly until yesterday.
Today, Plex stopped work. On both TVs (same time)!!!
When I choose any video, the screen will stop at three dots. (Pic 1)

I was in 1.12.2.4929 version. I downgraded to version 1.8.4.4249 and it still does not work. Win 10.

If I use LG App, it works perfectly. (Pic 2)

I have one Sony TV and still work.!

Same problem. I actually started experiencing the problem before I upgraded today to Version 1.12.2.4929. Upgrading didn’t help.

In the mean time, you can use XPlay. It’s free for a 6 day trial. Hopefully that will be enough time for bug fix.

Using the LG TV app doesn’t work. Using LG’s Video feature does but we shouldn’t have to use that.

Fix the native app…this is not a solution.

Exactly the same for me. It is a shame that LGs quality control can let such a major error through.

Having the same issues. Hopefully they roll back the Plex for LG until they fix the issue

Also got the same issue. Working fine last night, can connect to plex server ok and display content but it wont play any video files.

yup same issue here luckily it still works fine on PS4 / Xbox apps

Hopefully it won’t take long to fix

I think this is a Plex server issue rather than an LG issue. Maybe if Plex updated the app for LG TVs we wouldn’t have had this issue

Same issues. Running LG Plex app versions 2.1.0 and Plex server 1.12.2.4929
Considering my TV hasn’t had a firmware upgrade since November 2017 and th Rolex app hasn’t been updated since September 2016, I highly suspect this is a Plex Server issue

We have some folks looking into this issue, sorry to anyone this is affecting and we’ll try to get a resolution asap!

i sure hope it is fixed quick as i share with many friends and half of the people cant play files on webos LGTV

Hi a sea that plex has released 3.13.15 for LG webOS,(with a fix for this porblem) but my tv is stuck with 3.13.14. Anyone know how to fix this? :confused:

I am currently using the XPlay app on my LG TV until the problem is fixed. Have scoured the forums and this appears to be the only work around for the moment.
