A friend of mine bought an Android PC he connects to his TV to use Plex.
This solution is alright for all his flicks with the exception of 3D.
Because of the way 3D is implemented by just splitting the screen in half an internal player does a much better job.
Besides the better alignment of the 3D image there’s also the subtitles. Because an external player treats a 3D movie just like any other movie the subtitles aren’t working on this external player.
From posts I gather that you don’t have (yet) implemented subtitles. In my country subtitles are used for every foreign movie.
I hope that whenever you’re about to implement subtitles you also consider testing it with 3D. You probably don’t have to handle this especially as the native LG player handles it fine already.

You put a lot of work into this, so a few bucks is worth it for us LG owners. It's not like Plex themselves is doing anything for us lol.
Once transcoding is working this will be perfect,
Right now I have a lot of files that won't play but do play fine using the TVs built-in player.
In fact all of my files play fine using the TVs built-in player, so maybe the client just needs a little tweak?

i entered my IP and i only see Loading screen
I also tried delete all application content from USB and add I unzipped application again - but when i run application there is no posiibility to view IP scaning
what should I do now?

I just downloaded the new 0.5.0.3 he released and I was able to see the ip search again, then I told it to scan and found my server IP automatically. If I remember correctly in this thread it said something about clearing the browser cache on your TV and it should revert back to showing you IP screen again. I never had to look for those settings on the TV but I assume they're in there somewhere.Hi

I tried reset premium and also clear browser cache but without success.
No i waited about +- 20 minutes but loading is still there (what is enough time?)

one question: how it works with two plexmedia servers? (I have 2 PC where i have servers)

I used RED button from normal remote

my workaround:
when I commented your code and added one line -> this.settingsDialog(true); than i was able to add my new IP (my problem was that i entered only 10.0.0.1 ... without port :/ ... now i have this with port and everything working)
problem is:
in this if condition - !self.plex.getServerUrl()
I think somewhere is stored bad URL and timeout is not working ... my purpose is rewrite code that settings is stored in your application folder (should be modified manualy if some error appear)
could you please add some mask? (if it is possible)

problem 1:
scan functionality only find last server (for example router is 10.0.0.1, PC1 = 10.0.0.2 , PC2 = 10.0.0.3 on PC1 and PC2 are Plex servers up and running .... when you click on scan than you got last IP)

could you please add check for port? something like if substring : missing than you are an idiot (me :) ) you are trying adding server ip without port

when you are writing server ip there is <- back button but this will delete only last character

When this client is finally released to LG at some point we definitely want to be as bug free as possible. I guarantee you LG’s store approval will be very picky and check everything carefully before it’s approved so there is no point in submitting a client that is not ready for primetime.
There seems to be an issue with some MKV files at present ... This should be addressed once I get transcoding working ...

This is REAL plex, and also the best interface IMO.
I have used plex on many devices and UI differs to each device. This UI based off the PC home theater is top notch, at least for me.

I wish I could help Simon more with developer advice, but I am no good at coding. That is why people like myself look up to people like Simon and appreciate their work when it meets their needs. However I am decent with Photoshop so that's about as far as it goes lol. I have did some basic HTML in the past and it was fun but I never took it to the next level and just learned for my own personal website at that time.
We’ll I’m not sure what you mean? I wrote the app and am making it available for people to test - so technically it is “Simons” plex app … If it is soft for some people then they should feel free to write their own, or contribute …
