Simultaneously play the same content on multiple streaming devices.
The feature would be similar to watch party where you could steam the same content throughout the house but only using one account.
This could be achieved a few different ways:
I believe the easiest solution would be to show yourself as an option in watch party so it could be accepted on other devices and then streamed throughout the house.
I think the best way to implement this feature would be to have a new option in the side menu called “Now Playing”, where you can see what you are playing on your other streaming devices and simply join in.
I was able to achieve this through a workaround, but it required me to create second Plex account and then inviting it to join the watch party with my main account.
There’s already an existing suggestion discussing for Plex to support simultaneous streaming to multiple clients („tandem playback“). Please comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes. Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.
