Since update thetvdb has gone for "films"

I looked to see if someone else posted but i couldn’t find it,

Im not sure what update removed thetvdb as an option for agent in “films” but how do i get it back?

eg some tv films are NOT on imdb, or if they are the posters/backgrounds are wrong or low def. eg, bbc films are more accurate on thetvdb as its a TV ‘special’ film not a film thats been in cinema or something

i used to be able to go on the film and match that one film to thetvdb, but now that option is gone there and also in the settings “agents” since last update or 2, half my “Tv films” are pixelated posters with no metadata, as imdb doesnt have the info but tvdb does as its a “TV film” but i dont want it in a separate library as its a “film”

I don’t remember TheTVDb was ever available as an agent for movies. Are you sure you don’t mean “The Movie Database”?

If not… did you maybe use a plugin that might have been discontinued?

ive always had both the movie database and the tvdb,

in fact on every library ive ticked every single box, but now it only shows up certain ones in each category.

only plugin i installed is “sub zero-subtitles”, maybe “trailer addict” unless that was included in plex. i dont remember it until i just saw it now lol.

at the very least the films that didnt match well with imdb I could always “fix match” select tbdb, type the name or the id numbers from the website, and it would fix the match" …but now i cant seem to do that. i can do it the other way around with tv shows though still!

just checked, i can still both of them on “programmes” but for “films” only have “plex movie, youtube, the movie database” - i defo had 4 options, but last time i checked would been months ago as i dont check often. …only when i notice issues/missing info

The only primary agents Plex provides for movies you can select in the Fix Match window are

  1. Personal Media
  2. Plex Movie (which is actually named the IMDb plugin in files and if you have a super old server it would have been called Freebase)
  3. TheMovie Database

anything else would have been installed manually
