As it stands now, when you use the FIX MATCH feature on a TV Series, you can select TheTVDB or The Movie Database to search from, and although most of your TV Shows would probably come from TVDB, I have had a select few that I had to use The Movie Database on.
On the flip side, when you use FIX MATCH on a movie, you only get The Movie Database. Unfortunately, there are times when you need to use TheTVDB to get a match, but it isn’t there (primarily on single documentaries listed under TV, but I don’t want to put them under TV as they are all self-contained).
Please add TheTVDB as a searchable DB for movies as well, since you’ve done the reverse for TV Shows.

The New Agents for TV Shows and Movies use a secret combination of all.
I suggest you start naming so files can be matched with an appropriate database.
If you have a special use case - provide the EXACT naming and structuring - so it can be tested, and perhaps reproduced - then Plex will decide if it can be fixed.
In Short - Movies don’t match at TVDB.
Never have - never will.
There’s already an existing feature suggestion addressing this matter. I suggest you vote/comment in that thread instead to avoid distracting precious votes.
