Had a very strange thing happen tonight… about 5-6 weeks ago I got a new RAID setup, I called it “xRAID4”, my previous raid was “xRAID”. I moved all the files over and re-linked the library to the new folders and such and everything has been great.
Last night I added a couple new shows and even watched a few episodes. This evening, when I went to browse my TV library on my AppleTV, I was seeing just 4 shows instead of the 50 or so I have in the “/Volumes/xRAID4/TV” folder.
I explored the library on the server by going to the Edit feature and observed in the Plex UI that the file pathway had somehow changed itself to “/Volumes/xRAID/Adult TV”, this is the former file path I had used when I had my previous RAID drive. It is not valid and no media exists there but Plex was seeing 4 shows but couldn’t play them.
I re-linked the library to the correct folder and let it re-scan and it found all the media just fine but I have no clue how something like this could have occurred given that file path doesn’t even exist.
