Weird one that I can’t figure out.

I have four connected VPN sites. All are on the same subnet. I’m having buffering issues on a few of the sites that have lower bandwidth. I have enough CPU headroom to transcode no problem but for some reason I still get buffering issues with a few of the LG smart TVs with the plex apps.

Things seem to work well when I manually go in and force a transcode to a lower bitrate.

Is there a way I can enforce the max streaming quality on “local” VPN IPs?

Two of the sites have enough bandwidth but the other two I want to force all to stay at a lower bitrate transcode. Can this happen? Any ideas?

Bandwidth upstream from the main plex server isn’t a problem, lots of upstream capacity.

Check the LG Plex app settings for local quality. Set it to the desired resolution/bit rate.
