I’m experiencing slow behavior from my Plex Server.
I moved it to a VM on VirtualBox so I don’t have to set up the whole thing again and again if I have to set up my host system new (Obviously Windows).
The thing is, it takes a really long time to load my Plex.
Symptoms are:
When I’m away from home and want to watch something on my phone it will take like 30 seconds for my libraries to load.
This is even the case when I’m home in the same network. So I’m guessing it has nothing to do with the remote access.
It’s the same for users who I have shared with, if in the same network or not, does not matter.
I’m guessing this has something to do with the VM.
Does anyone have experience using Plex in a VM, maybe even VirtualBox, and knows something about this? I did not have that behavior when I had the server installed on my Windows.
