We got to the bottom of this, and it’ll be fixed in an upcoming hotfix release.

We’ve just pushed a beta build with the fix to TestFlight. If you’re not currently on our public beta but are affected by this issue and would like to test the fix, please DM me an email address to send a TestFlight invite to and I will add you to test the fix.

The load time are much better on the movies, but there is still a major lag when opening a “continue watching” tab for a tv show episode. It moves quick to the next screen, shows the background, but it takes more than 30 seconds for the episodes to show along the bottom of the screen.

Also applies when going from one episode to the next.

I’m not seeing an option to send you a DM in my forum view; is there a different option I can use to get you my email information? I’m a Plex Pass subscriber in case you can get the email address from that; I’m still having the choppy\no playback issues with various 1080p and 4K movies playing from my home pc server. I have an AppleTV model A1842 (32 gb) with TVOS 14.6 running the Plex App ver 7.18.1 (1572). Thank you!

I ran cat 6 ethernet from the router to the Apple TV and that fixed the problem. Also make sure you are using the new enhanced player. Sorry it took so long to reply.
